Neighourhood Profile: South Surrey

The largest city in Metro Vancouver, Surrey is quickly expanding as the next major urban centre. Divided by the North and South, South Surrey is an affluent community with a population of 77,170¹ which makes up 15% of Surrey’s total population. Single family dwellings make up the majority of homes at 61%, while row/townhouses make up 23% and apartments at 16%.

To accommodate this constantly growing city, many improvements are being implemented such as the creation of the new Grandview Heights Secondary School. Scheduled for completion in September 2021, this brand new high school can accommodate up to 1,500 students.

Additional schools in the vicinity of our new project Horizon, includes Southridge School, Earl Marriott, Semiahmoo Secondary, South Meridian Elementary, Peach Arch Elementary and Jessie Lee Elementary.

South Surrey encompasses many recreations and shopping centres such as South Surrey Athletic Park, Morgan Creek Golf Course, Hazelmere Golf & Tennis Club, Grandview Heights Aquatic Centre, Morgan Crossing and Semiahmoo Shopping Centre just to name a few.

If you’re looking to make a quick getaway, you don’t have to go far! Explore White Rock Pier, a popular attraction bordered by South Surrey. With the recent reopening of the new and improved pier, you must stop by! Accessing the Pacific Border Crossing is also an easy feat when you live in South Surrey.
